Ronald Shockley, MD
Board Certified in Infectious Diseases
Dr. Ronald Shockley graduated from University of California, Irvine. He then attended medical school at Ohio State University. He completed his residency at Baystate Medical Center. He then went to Brown University for his Infectious Diseases Fellowship. He began his clinical career in Las Vegas, Nevada and joined an Infectious Diseases practice. After several years of practicing medicine in Las Vegas, Dr. Shockley became a little adventurous and accepted an opportunity to practice infectious diseases outside of Nashville, Tennessee. However, Dr. Shockley became homesick and returned to Las Vegas. It was at that time he established Infectious Diseases Partners of Nevada. His clinical interest include bacteremia, infection, IV infusion therapy, HIV, hepatitis C. In his spare time, Dr. Shockley enjoys hiking, sports (Go Buckeyes!) and star gazing.
Hiromichi Park, DO
Board Certified in Infectious Diseases
Dr. Park is a proud native of Las Vegas, Nevada. His undergraduate academic career started in Boston University where he pursued a degree in Human Physiology. He returned to Las Vegas for his post baccalaureate studies and worked in a microbiology lab experimenting with Shigella flexnerisparking his interest in the field of pathogenesis and clinical Infectious Disease. He later enrolled at Touro University Nevada where he completed his medical school education. He later continued his postgraduate medical training in Portland, Oregon where he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Providence Portland Medical Center and finished his fellowship training in Infectious Disease at Oregon Health and Science University. He is happy to be back in his hometown practicing clinical Infectious Disease here at IDPN. Outside of his clinical duties, he is passionate in martial arts including Japanese fencing called Kendo and Brazilian style Capoeira. His talents include speaking four languages, being able to do a backflip and slam dunk a basketball, but he still needs work on creating convincing facts for the "two truths and a lie" game.
Enzi Abebe
MSN, APRN, AGPCNP-BC, WCC
Nurse practitioner
Enzi is a Board-Certified Advance Practice Registered Nurse with certification in Advanced wound care and debridement. She began her notable career in nursing in 2010 after obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She obtained nursing experience in the general medical/surgical setting, critical care setting and pre-operative/post-operative settings. Shortly thereafter, she transitioned into Infectious Disease working as a board-certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. She obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati. She has a passion for skincare, wounds and public health initiatives. Her hobbies include swimming, outdoor activities and spending time with family and friends.
Genus Sarabia
MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Genus started her career in the medical field around 2006 when she decided to change
her career path. She has a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accounting which she acquired in the
Philippines and moved in the US where she landed a job in an auditing department in one of the
local casinos. She did not find satisfaction working in the accounting field, so she decided to
volunteer at St. Rose Hospital. Shortly after that, she decided to change her career to pursue a
nursing degree. Genus obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Touro University.
Since obtaining her bachelor’s degree, she has worked as a registered nurse in home health care,
jail healthcare, and critical healthcare settings. She then pursued her Master of Science in
Nursing at Charles Drew University and earned her board certification in 2019.
Genus currently works as an Infectious Disease Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. She is also
an expert on treating skin problems and wounds. She has been seeing patients from diverse
population with different kinds of infectious diseases. Genus is continuously keeping her
knowledge and skills up to date in order help provide individualized care for her patients.
Zonia Fiesta
MSN, APRN FNP-BC
Zonia is an ID nurse practitioner who joined Infectious Disease
Partners of Nevada in March 2021. She attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas
(UNLV), where she graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Zonia went on to
work at one of the largest hospitals in the trauma-surgical intensive care unit providing
care to critically and acutely ill patients with a variety of clinical conditions including
peri-operative management and bedside procedures. After a decade of honing and
sharpening her skills, Zonia returned to UNLV to obtain her Master of Science in Nursing
and was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Zonia is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. As an Advanced
Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), Zonia started at an ENT clinic and surgery center
and continued to demonstrate proficiency in procedural skills and assisted during
in-office surgical procedures. Now as an Infectious Disease APRN, she provides wound
management and IV antibiotic infusions.
Zonia, who is originally from Honolulu and lived in Seattle to obtain her first degree in
Business Administration, loves to travel, spend quality time with friends and family, and
enjoys an active lifestyle of fitness and overall health.
Aya Werra
MSN, APRN FNP-C
Aya Werra earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at University of Nevada, Las Vegas. As a registered nurse, she worked in medical ICU for 7 years before receiving her Master of Science in Nursing degree from University of South Alabama. Aya is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has previously worked as a pulmonary critical care nurse practitioner before joining Infectious Disease Partners of Nevada in 2022. Aya is happily married with 2 children. In her free time, she finds joy in reading, fitness, and travel.
Linda Rodgers
RN
Linda is our Director of Infusion Services. A registered Nurse for almost thirty years, Linda has been with us since the inception of our Infusion center in 2017. She is responsible for the administration of all IV antibiotics, fluids, IV Push meds, and IM injections. Nurse Linda’s days consist of attending to the needs of adult patients with a variety of infections of the skin, bone, or blood, and also rendering treatment for bacterial and viral diseases. Understanding the fears and anxieties of the patients, Linda knows the importance of providing emotional support with those under our care. She can often be found either listening, laughing, or praying with patients, and considers it a blessing to be involved in their lives. On her days off, Linda’s true enjoyment is spending time with her husband, several cats, and one extra large dog. Crafting and wreath making also makes her happy, as she loves to give home-made gifts to her friends and family.
